Sustainable Livelihood

Aparajita Samajik Samiti is dedicated to enhancing the livelihoods of marginalized community by promoting sustainable agricultural practices, natural resource management and skill development. The organization has been actively working in Kaisarganj block of Bahraich district, Nawabganj block of Unnao district) and multiple blocks in Gorakhpur district thereby implementing innovative agricultural interventions in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Aparajita focused on capacity building, ensuring that marginalized farmers gained practical knowledge on advanced farming techniques, crop diversification, integration with market and value chain development.

With these efforts Aparajita has significantly improved the income and resilience of small and marginal farmers. This has not only enhanced food security but also fostered long-term sustainability in agriculture, making farming a more viable and profitable livelihood for rural communities.

Impact

Through this initiative, 3,000 farmers were directly trained and empowered, leading to indirect benefits for over 15,000 individuals in the farming communities. The organization focused on technical capacity building, ensuring that marginalized farmers gained practical knowledge on:

• Advanced farming techniques such as raised bed cultivation and coco pit methods
• Seasonal crop diversification for better yield and climate resilience
• Market integration and value chain development, helping farmers secure better prices for their produce
