Protecting children’s rights, preventing exploitation, abuse, trafficking and child marriages across villages in Uttar Pradesh

Aparajita Samajik Samiti is deeply committed to ensure social and constitutional rights of children, safeguarding them from exploitation and securing their future through access to justice. The organization has been actively implementing child protection programmes focused on three critical issues:
- Child labour and trafficking
- Child sexual abuse
- Child marriage prevention
Aparajita has covered 100 villages in Gonda district and 150 villages in Ayodhya district upon the issue of protection of child rights.
Impact
- Rescue and rehabilitation: Rescued 200 children from child labour and trafficking, ensuring their safe rehabilitation
- Child marriage prevention: Intervened in 1,000 child marriages, successfully stopping them through parental undertakings
- Educational support: Enrolled 100+ children in schools, ensuring their right to education
- Legal and social Interventions: Supported over 100 cases of child marriage survivors, providing legal aid and rehabilitation assistance
- Community engagement: Collaborated with religious leaders to raise awareness and establish child marriage-free zones within districts
